This majestic city, often called the jewel of the west, built on an island in the Corre river, is considered by both Dukarit and Jharuz to be their rightful capital. With the two countries still at war, Dolac, Haza, and Otteun have long garrisoned troops to the city to enforce a ceasefire and protect their interests. These peacekeepers have united into a single organization called OtHaDo.
Two bridges connect the city, the northern one to Dukarit and the southern one to Jharuz. Two large harbors, one to the east and one to the west are used for heavy river traffic. All these ingress points are heavily inspected by OtHaDo.
The city is run by a civil service that has prided itself on its neutrality for centuries. Though made up of both Dukarit and Jharuz citizens, the large majority put the city's interests above that of their countries.
Nafikal is known for its architecture, no expenses were spared when the city was created, and it was where the majority of Balturan building supplies still left at the time, were used. Planned as a new city it was built as a number of completely concentric circles, each a bit higher than the previous, with the Acilia Palace, now the town hall, at the very top. Over time, many buildings were constructed and roads built, so the city map is no longer a perfect wheel and spoke system.
