Reuel Woods

Nestled between the Sarodin Sea, the Dira river, the Gloamin river, and the Giant’s Crown Mountains lies a massive, ancient forest. Over the centuries it has resisted all types of encroachment.

It is said that all life began in these woods. Nowadays the heart of the forest is bursting with an uncontrolled magic that transforms everything it comes into contact with, including the very land itself. Some sages are convinced that this is how more outlandish monsters such as owlbears have come to be.

No expeditions to the center of the woods have ever been heard from again so little is known for sure. What is certain, is that over time the magic builds up to such a degree that it can no longer be contained, and every so many years a colossal magic storm roils out from the center.

The forest between the Gloamin river and the Copis river are usually seen as part of the Reuel Woods though it is thought this is a younger growth of the forest and not quite as dangerous as the ancient woods to the north. Nomadic tribes live in this area and it is also home to the only town of the area; Kolinet.
