== Description ==
A mid sized town of around 250 inhabitants Dogbourne is situated in a lush valley at the foot of Mnt. Grabb. Sheltered by the steep valley walls the town has not seen many hardships over the course of it's existence and the population has grown to be incredibly self providing. The diet in the town is mostly plant based with meat reserved for special occasions and festivities such as solstices, weddings, birthdays etc.

The town is run by the office of executive chair which rotates through all eligible adults on a monthly basis. Decisions made by the executive officer are ratified at a bi-weekly town meeting. Here a simple majority is required for decisions regarding internal affairs and a two-thirds majority for decisions affecting the external affairs of Dogbourne.
Currently the government of Dogbourne rejects any claim the national government of [[Otteun]] has on the lands worked and inhabited by citizens of the town. They specifically reject the concept of royalty. A well known saying (though none know where it came from) being 'being handed a sword or a crown by a strange lady, lad or your dad is no basis for a system of government!'.
