This decrepit mansion about four days southwest of Korint was home to three shady characters who were happy to leave after being offered 15 gp. The cellar contained a shrine to Nerull with a phrase in Dark Speech carved into it: "I am that which grips the heart in fright, hearkens night and silences the light."

After translating it with the help of Velkor’s treasure map and solving the riddle the shrine opened up revealing a corridor behind it. The trapped corridor led to a cave infested with giant wolf spiders.

Beyond a rickety ropebridge lay a room at the end of the cave, closed off with a large stone door. Carved into the floor inside was a large heptagram that connected seven summon circles that started to produce grotesquely deformed human-like head with leathery, bat-like wings taking the place of ears.

A hidden compartment in the desk produced a curse but the adventurers were mostly shielded from it by an image of a barrowmound that suddenly appeared in the air.
