The elves, wanting for resources for trade, manipulated their way to take what they wanted, leaving the people of Lantres without income and produce. A small group of people, rallied by [[Marinda Winterwies]], stood up against the oppression. Armed with what could be found around the elves were driven out, luckily with little actual bloodshed. With a last standoff between Marinda and the head of the elves, they were banished back to their forests.
