Izzy is a peppy, charming woman with long chestnut hair and for a while now travels the land for her Cloths-makers Guild.
She tells you she’s a seamstress looking for fabrics and patterns to use. However you get a bit distracted during the conversation and, wait what!? Did you just look down her blouse?!
Hoping she didn’t notice you try to pick up on the conversation and before you know it she's talking to someone else.
She's wearing a simple shift, a simple but good quality travel dress. On her hips are a pocket and a dagger.
Appearance
Izzy will turn some eyes for sure. Her pretty, friendly features are inviting. And she'd sure to return a smile.
She could be human, she could be elven. Though she's quite tall for an elf (175cm/5"9'). Perhaps an half-elf? Her hears are pointed, but more rounded than you'd expect. Her smile reveals pointed canines. It's hard to discern her species. Who knows. At least it has never stopped anyone from buying her an ale in the tavern.
Clothes and gear
At the start of the adventure Izzy is wearing a simple shift, a dark grey dress with a blue/grey accent. On her right hip is a tie-on pocket. The pocket is self-made and roomy. It can be worn under her dress as well. She wears simple inside-out shoes. Her dress isn't overly comfortable for adventuring. She has to gird up her dress when climbing or fighting.
On her left is now a brand new rapier, it's hand guard an ornately decorated copper crab. Under neath the sheath is a simple but well-loved stiletto dagger. Worn horizontally for easy access.
In the pack she took while fleeing the caravan she found a fine set of diplomats clothing. While not of ceremonial quality they put some stature on whoever wears them. A pair of fine boots, pressed pants, a good quality shirt with scarf and a jacket to be worn over it. There is a small copper scarf pin shaped like a crab. It's not that pretty so it's best left in the bottom of the pack. The clothes are nicely cut and fitted... for a man. Because this is obviously a set of men's clothing. Luckily it also includes a light mantle with a thin fur trim which somewhat conceals the lack of fit on Izzy.
> Water Worx Wet Shift Contest
After a fight in the Water Worx in Banak Izzy got knocked out and was shocked to find her shift drenched, resulting in a 'wet-shift-contest' kind a situation. Izzy is very fond of attention, but only when she draws it upon herself. Walking back to the surface she got more and more workers oogling her wet attire. The next day she purchased a black shift. It's similar to the white one but has a decorative golden thread embroidered on the sleeves and collar. The white shift is now used for sleeping.
> Always Crabby
Izzy's rapier drew unwanted attention. In attempt to keep the weapon Izzy altered her appearance.
She had her shoulder long hair cut into a bob and got new clothes. Now she's wearing a pair of tight leather pants and knee high boots. She switched her black shift for the white again and a inconspicuous brown cloak. The rapier was safely stored away in her pack and she bought a cheap rapier that apparently has seen better days.
In the end it was all in vain and she lost possession of Sébastien.
> Sanatorium AERe Transplanae
After an encounter with an ANGEL Izzy is teleported to a Sanatorium. It proved to be a very relaxing. During their stay guests were required to wear a toga. The usual underclothing for a toga, the tunica, was not supplied. It didn't matter much because the climate on the plane was very comfortable. And since Izzy was spending a lot of time getting either massages or spending time in the thermae she wasn't wearing anything most of the time. But all good things come to an end and Izzy and the band need to leave the stage early and don't get to play an encore.
> Still got the Blues
A change of 'resort' meant change of dress code. They are looking to bite half a bullet in Peca M3.
Izzy traded in her airy toga for blues and brogans. And she has to rent them to. They come in two sizes; trip on your sleeves and perpetual cameltoe. It's a tough choice as loose prison garb makes movement easier, but it weighs you down tremendously in the mud. The blue coveralls don't have any pockets to make theft more difficult. The brogans, or shoes, are simple leather workshoes without shoelaces. You have to be very careful not to loose them in the clay. Izzy's shoes are to big, but stuffing the toes with hay from her bunk makes them fit somewhat reasonable. The small coverall and large shoes give her a clownesque appearance (but it does show of her booty).
> Burning with passion... nah, just burning
Izzys heritage give her some resistance to fire. He clothes unfortunately do not.
After saving a good bunch of people from a burning tavern she was in dire need of a new set of clothes.
A very good excuse to so some shopping. This time Izzy opted for a nice (ironically) light petrol colored shift. She replaced her leather pants for an ankle length skirt, with matching top. She needed to do a little tailoring herself to make sure for the narrow waist showed off her assets as well as to provide enough movement while adventuring. Just in case she bought a pair of warm black tights as well.
And there were these really nice ankle boots with a slight raised heel that were so pretty and her knee highs were damaged in the fire anyway and maybe she didn't need them but they were so pretty and not that expensive and would you look how nice they look with my skirt they may just have been made for me and...
Walking out with the boots on Izzy proudly thought to herself that she could resist anything... but temptation.
Personal History
Izzy's story starts in Thimonnier. Home of the Cloths-makers Guild lead by Hank of Yarn. He owns the store/workshop Yarn's & Noble where Izzy works.
Yarns & Noble is an innovative business always on the lookout for new techniques and materials. They tend all walks of life, but specialize in high quality upper class clothing.
After working as a seamstress for some time Hanks saw a potential in Izzy and send her into the world to find new fabrics, patterns, dyes and techniques to use in upcoming collections.
At least, that's what she tells you. The story seems solid enough, though the party has heard her speak in languages that some say sound like Infernal or Abyssal.
Adventuring with Izzy have made the party-members question her story, she may not be human or elvish after all. No-one has asked her outright yet. Maybe they don't care, don't dare or they know she's going to lie about it anyways. When agitated her sweet voice shifts to growling. Sometimes she tries to motivate the team and her voice has an airy song-like quality, but the multi layered voices and the uncomfortably changing pitch sends shivers down your spine. Making you work harder, but not for the right reasons.
Odrik saw her walking straight into a fire, having him assume she may be of Tiefling heritage.
During an exorcism the party witnessed Izzy was within a hair of death. She summoned spectral fiends around her to protect her. This raised some eyebrows, especially with the parties new Paladin.
Party members
Izzy found herself waking up amidst a destroyed caravan. There were few survivors. She joined some of them in an effort to flee from a storm. The group largely stuck together and they seem useful enough for now.
Boldrek Honorbeard After the death of Odrik the only Dwarf in the party. This one is smelly, hairy, beardy... and he and Izzy get along pretty well.
He had a stunt in a restaurant where he turned himself into a bear. And it looks like he can control that now. Interesting but scary. He has good insight though and it's better to walk into danger with a Dwarf on point.
Zayne Noname Dug this one up in a cave in a desert. Half-Ork, half-stupid. Seems to have recently discovered a hidden potential, though I have an inkling it might not be his own... He might deserve my nickname more than me, but he's fun to have around. He lately seems to be more and more the conscience of the group. Which may become a hassle to deal with. He also seems to be driven by a grudge and looks to be susceptible to revenge. Qualities I can admire. His skills are improving and he's a great asset to the party/
Kieran Dawncaller Just when you get settled in a party you get this. A Paladin. Again. We don't always...no, we don't see eye to eye. In a way we are the same, we do what has to be done. But his passion to do good blinds his reason. A trait I should appreciate, but it could possibly endanger the party. Again. That said, he's a great combatant and has made a battle turn in our favor more that once.
Previous partymembers:
Odrik Hilderfinn Former soldier and it showed, he made a lot of noise, even for dwarven standards. Though he annoyingly kept tabs on Izzy, his insights have been useful and has been the deciding factor in combat on several occasions. While facing a white Wyrm Odrik gave his life taking it down. Saving the party. Izzy doens't seem phased, but she misses having him around.
Wyn Dawnwalker The silent drinker of the group. Silent because he doesn't talk much, and drinker because he makes no secret of his fondness of ale. This curious fellow seems to give away his gold every time he earns some, could be useful. To bad he had to leave the party, he packs a pretty punch.
Filibert Chubb Straight as an arrow and seems to carry his weight in books. Did not seem too reliable when real 'work' needs to be done and his lawful tendencies often put us up for more trouble than we'd like. But he surprised me by recovering me in battle. I would have left me for sure and it made me curious to see where his journey would take us. It's a shame he left us.
Lavanith Rhovan For a short while the only other female party member. Though Izzy was not overjoyed, she was to mossy and scruffy looking for her tastes.
Other stuff
A list of writings, drawings or other particular topics related to Izzy.
Izzy's Flavour
Izzy's spells are... something else.
Patented Questionnaire
The party found a skeleton in a cave while hiding from a storm. They found this questionnaire neatly folded. Because they all were stuck in the cave they filled it out for themselves.
Sketches
In the pack Izzy obtained while fleeing from the storm were a number of interesting items. Among which sheets of vellum, a pen and ink.
Bored to tears during a nights watch Izzy started doodling away. She never thought about drawing anything for fun, interesting.
A song in the tunnels
Being a rather tall lady she naturally looks down at her party members, though I don't think it's just the height difference.
Either way, hours of plotting behind Dwarves and a Halfling lead to a small song.
A lousy job, perhaps. But the show was spectacular. We were hired to facilitate the transfer of Cobblar Languid between venues.
Oddly enough some songs seem to have been written for us.
During downtime in Midtal Izzy chases something interesting and ends up on the cover of Rogue instead.
