Ulaa (OO-lah) is depicted as a dwarven woman with gnomish facial features. She wields a mighty hammer called Skullringer.

Dogma

The hills and mountains are sacred and beautiful places, whether on the surface or within tunnels that hole them like veins. Working with ore is a blessed task, turning it into an item of purpose. Industry is where people find their purpose.

Clergy

Ulaa’s clerics live on or in the mountains, protecting them from those who would destroy them. They protect their community and teach miners and quarrymen how to spot the best places to work. They act as guides for those passing through their lands, travel to see other stony examples of the earth’s beauty.

Vestments

Upon entering the order, novitiates are given a green robe. Then, when they have completed their novitiate, their robes are a mix of brown and green, the proportion of brown increasing with their level. The high priests initially wear a completely brown robe, then a brown robe mixed with gray, the proportion of gray increasing with their level to get closer and closer to the color of the stone. It is only after having reached the rank of high priest that a Child of the Stone has the badge of honor to wear an entirely gray vestment.

Temples

The temples of Ulaa are almost always built of stone and feature all kinds tools and implements that signify hard work. The altar is usually made of metal, and often in the shape of an anvil.

Avale

The Tabernacle of Industry is a massive temple in the Jeoran Terrace neighborhood. The original building was severely damaged in a fire and then rebuilt only to suffer a collapse. It has been rebuilt twice more and three additions were added as the city grew, producing a building of no less than six architectural styles.

Foreman Kazrik Jadrerlig, a dwarf of advanced years, has spent most of his time spreading his faith throughout the country and is now teaching his successor, the half-orc Knaraugh Vodis. He can't stop telling anyone who'll listen that she is Ulaa personified.

Banak

The Fane of the Workers is housed in one of the warehouses under the city. A soft blue light radiates from the ceiling of the large hall and beautifully crafted columns and stone statues fill the halls. The temple is open all hours, every day of the year, services are not scheduled but there are always priests on hand when worshipers congregate.

Just last year a new Forewoman was appointed; a half-orc woman by the name of Neske Sormuzhik now leads this temple. Though there was some grumbling at the start, she quickly showed to be the best leader that anyone can remember.

Beljovac

The sole temple to the Stonewife in all of Haza and Vilda is the Temple of Travail, a modest stone building in the Viridian Division. While the goddess isn't too popular in the country, many craftspeople visit here once or twice a week.

Forewoman Iosia Kipric not only runs the temple but also has her jewelry side business on the premises.

GICOM

In a city full of spectacular buildings, the Fane of Fulfillment still manages to stand out. While not as big as some of the other temples, the architecture and the workmanship are second to none. It is high on the list of places for tourists to visit, and therefor always quite packed. For that reason actual services are mostly held very early in the morning.

The leadership position is shared between Forewoman Sirch Remo, a dwarven woman with a storied past including stints as bard and ranger, and Forewoman Nala Irtsevlis, originally from Vilda, who stowed away on a ship to GICOM when she was only six years old.

Jurva

The House of Harmony is not the largest temple in town but it is better attended than any of the others. The town is quite industrious and this is reflected in the amount of worship here. In fact, at least one priest can always be found at Stennen Quarry outside of town.

Foreman Loke Sundqvist is a former leather-worker who came to the flock late but had a meteoric rise. He leaves most services to his subordinate Siv Torvalds, a slight woman from Stjordvik with a voice that belies her stature.

Midtal

Many shrines and small houses of worship can be found throughout the city. The Pride of Labor is a newly built, massive, stone building of four floors in the Triumph Ziek. The bottom floor is one enormous space where mass services are held.

In charge is Foreman Alton Kersker, a former Ott general staff colonel. He likes to start services with some impressive spell-work, showing all that Ulaa, and her followers, are capable of.

Resoborg

The Forged Basilica is one of the city's largest buildings and arguably its most impressive. This city of artisans takes pride in their faith and the building reflects that, inside and out.

Recently a half-elf, Eaerlith Keelson, was promoted to the Foreman position. Under his ardent leadership attendance has seen a marked upswing.

Stjordvik

Sormarkers party hard but work hard as well. Thus worship of the Stonewife is quite popular here. A new temple, the House of Many Hands, a large, squat building of travertine from Stennen Quarry, was built in the middle of Cyamus District not too long ago. Going somewhat against tradition, the large, copper altar is not shaped like an anvil, but rather like a ship's anchor.

Forewoman Reqys Laarrabisos is a shrewd gnome woman of advanced years has run the old temple, and now the new, for as long as most people can remember.
