This ingenious piece of engineering consists of incredibly strong hizagkuur springs and folded umber hulk chitin plates.
As an action you can place the barrier and have it expand to create a strong barrier (AC 16, 22 hp) of five by five feet. Its anchoring spikes can penetrate even stone so it will remain in place against most forces. The barrier can function as half, three-quarters, or full cover, when applicable.
