The capital of Haza and its largest city, the Glory of Silazni Zmaj, as it is known, is one of the most advanced cities in the world.

Historically the city has been made up of a number of divisions all named for colors. The names just sprung up over time and the divisions have no set borders and are not administrative localities.

Locations

Činel Cymbals

For over four centuries the Činel family has built cymbals that have no equal. They are forged on the premises of their shop in the Amber division from copper and other metals mined in the north. The exact alloy used is a most closely guarded secret.

Fort Beljo

When the city was little more than a fishing village Vojvoda (Duke) Kassan Beljo saw something no one else saw in the place. He had the fort constructed and from there the city grew quickly in both size and importance. That it would become the nation's capital in just over a century was something that even he probably did not foresee. The fort is still in use and stands in the northeast of town, in the Hazel division.

Sídlo Palace

In the heart of the city stands the royal residence, its indigo walls giving name to the Indigo division and maybe the origin of the naming convention. While the palace is of a modest size it is undoubtedly an architectural marvel. Slender columns hold aloft a frieze intricately carved with scenes of a prosperous nation and large windows give it a very open quality.

Záhrady Gardens

Over half of the Indigo division is taken up by this park that showcases just about all plant species found in the country. Citizens love to stroll through here on their day off and picnic on the lawns. It is also a very popular place for marriage proposals. Tessaril Leadea, a druid of the Circle of Irbac, and her assistants are dedicated to maintaining everything with meticulous care.

Organizations

Companions of Elric

Located in the Azure Division, the local headquarters is a modest stone building dwarfed by the arsenal next door. While not many Hazans request the help of the Companions, their self-defense classes are very popular. In the past the Companions have had a few run-ins with the Kurbak (secret police).

The self-styled 'Duke' Yllas Gee from Mifora runs this branch. He is a good friend of Kraljica (Queen) Vita Meloi and is one of her few frequent visitors.

Kasarian Embassy

When Haza came up in the world, Kasar was the first country to establish an embassy with them. While they were hardly welcomed with open arms, it didn't stop them from building a quite large embassy. Over the centuries the number of staff here has shrunk but they still have enough to keep well informed about the goings on in the country.

The ambassador is a tiefling woman, Yixa Guxaal, she is quite attractive, with a skin the color of sunset and a halo of tiny horns around her head. She is said to go through lovers as others go through meals. Her two direct reports are Culla Kygol, a human woman always dressed in furs, and Zygan Cibor, a scarlet skinned tiefling the size of a half-orc.

Abjura Dolana

This is likely one of the largest lodges in the world, located inside two monumental, connected buildings in the Scarlet Division. What all the wizards and apprentices do here is something of a mystery, though a lot of arcane spellcasters do seem to visit every day.

Miew Sunfield, the Magister, is a woman in her fifties from Dolac, who is known for her hands-on approach. She won't hesitate to stop any brawl she happens to come across and when monsters are spotted outside the city, she'll be there to root them out, more often than not. Four Sentinels report to her. Adeen Aumble is a halfling woman with a penchant for spell research. The Miforan Lertis Catham looks so much like Miew that many claim he is her son. Sendira Laenela from Sormark is a half-elf who used to be a mercenary in her younger days. Not much is known about the half-orc girl by the name of Orvaega Zorgar, but she must be some kind of prodigy, making Sentinel at her young age.

Temples

Boccob

Boccob's following is large in Haza, most of the worshipers are not able to cast even a cantrip. But the people here believe in the power of magic and know what role it played in the history of their country. The House of Spells can't be missed, it being a large ziggurat built at the edge of town.

The High Administrator is a woman who was born under the shadow of the building, Naj Tajtik. She is in her seventies now but still going strong, with a mind like a steel trap.

Lirr

Perched on the cliffs overlooking Silazni Zmaj Bay, the Celestial Quill Monastery stands. The architecture mirrors the elegant strokes of a quill, with graceful arches and soaring spires. At its heart lies the Prose Pavilion, a contemplative space adorned with intricately carved bookshelves and adorned with tapestries illustrating scenes of passion and scholarly pursuits.

Known for her eloquent prose and heartfelt poetry, High Priestess Selene Whisperwind uses the written word to evoke powerful emotions and convey the essence of Lirr's teachings. She organizes regular poetry readings and encourages aspiring poets to share their verses.

Osprem

The Azure Watchtower, the highest building in the city, overlooks Silazni Zmaj Bay. Its spiraling structure is built from a unique blend of azure-hued stones. At the top a weathered bronze statue of Osprem gazes out over the waters. The tower also functioned as a strategic vantage point used to great effect those times an invading armada showed up. Inside intricate tapestries depicting maritime legends and mythical sea creatures line the walls. The centerpiece is a massive, ancient ship's wheel.

A renowned cartographer and navigator, Mistress of the Waves Eliska 'Wavefinder' Warga, was recently promoted to the highest rank. She is known for being a card-shark.

Pholtus

The Light of the Law is a fortress-like building bedecked with large banners of Pholtus at the edge of the Amaranth Division. The interior of the temple is covered entirely of Lomic marble, which has been polished to a sheen. As the state church they try to exert their influence where they can, but they are not really welcomed anywhere.

Cardinal Assessor Timin Kaljic spends most of his time fighting with his counterpart in Ide Volcar over which of their churches is the pre-eminent one in the country.

Ulaa

The sole temple to the Stonewife in all of Haza and Vilda is the Temple of Travail, a modest stone building in the Viridian Division. While the goddess isn't too popular in the country, many craftspeople visit here once or twice a week.

Forewoman Iosia Kipric not only runs the temple but also has her jewelry side business on the premises.

Merchant Houses

House Ditta

Over half of the docks and the warehouses behind them is known as Ditta Quarter and this is also where their sprawling offices are, on the corner of Kolechia Way, one of the main thoroughfares, and Hunac Street at the edge of the Amber Division.

In typical Hazan fashion a scion of one of the main noble families has been hired to run the place. Vojvotkinja (duchess) Timea Valtic is a shrewd negotiator and a perfect fit for the job. Wagging tongues claim she uses the resources at her disposal more for her family's welfare than House Ditta's.

Hythe Maritime Services

Based out of an old mansion at the edge of the Amber Division, the company has invested much capital and goodwill to see its interests rise here. Only House Ditta exports more from the harbor than Hythe does now, working for most of the other merchant houses.

Running things is Dolac Brent Barkman, a fresh challenge after a long career as a ship captain. In his spare time he composes music.
