A distillery was arsoned to create a distraction to enter.
As with most capitals, [[Korint]] has a [[Kasarian Embassy]]. The embassy is a sizeable, three story building with a large, walled yard with a gate at the back. There are alleys on either side and their direct neighbors are an orphanage and a greengrocers / general goods merchant.


Plans are discussed and eventually [[Regius Osea|Regius]] goes inside with a somewhat changed appearance as an itinerant priest of [[Ulaa]]. He starts a fight that soon leads to a fog cloud, a shattered front door and the half-orc only barely escaping with his life.


But it does provide a distraction and the others slip in through the backdoor and then very skillfully break open the door to the cellar, [[Hanur]], Julian, and Wanda unerringly know they way to the vault. Once downstairs they are attacked by wingless dragon-type creatures. Fortunately two sleep spells by [[Arosin Quindriall|Arosin]] and some melee attacks by the others takes care of them.


The vault is locked but Wanda produces a key that fits the lock, she tells them it cost her a lot.


Inside there are quite a few things, most with a little piece of paper with descriptive text (in a language no one speaks, later translated in the [[Fort Gunnlaeif Dungeon]]) next to it, including these:


* A brutal looking spear fashioned from a single piece of onyx with supple black leather wrapped around the shaft - taken by Julian.
* A weathered and beaten chain forged of cold iron with a supple black leather collar attached to one end - taken by Wanda.
* [[Vigilant's Primer|A compact book]], small enough to fit inside a large pocket - when [[Reb]] sees it, he knows he must have it and he takes it with him.
* A large metal chest that seems to snarl.
* A vial containing a thick, red-orange substance that moves slowly inside of it - Regius quickly snags this one.
* A wand made of marble, topped by a tourmaline.
* A large black diamond on a velvet pillow.
* A small box made of lead.
* A metal gauntlet pitted green, sized for an ogre.
* A statue of a perched dragon - taken by Hanur.
* A vibrant purple prism.
* A pick-axe made of copper.
* A blob of gel.
The party then quickly vacate the premises but not before being spotted. Fortunately, they take a horse and manage to lose their pursuers.
