This high elven maern of Fir Lanear is the second in size and the least traditional of all the maerns.
A large number of dwarves make the city their home and this has come to be reflected in the architecture. The city is divided into a number of neighborhoods each containing craftspeople of a certain type.
Over the centuries the system of government has changed to its current form where the Ruling Body votes on candidates put forward by the neighborhoods, those voted in replace those who are to retire. Retirement is mandatory after serving for fifty years.
