Population: ~900. A decent sized town south west of Korint in the land of Loveria. Also known as The Half Town, due to its large population of Halflings and Gnomes. The town lends its name from a local spring called Dren Deven, which means Spring (Dren) of Silver (Deven) in Halfling.

History

The village of Drendeven was founded and build around the Drendeven Distillery. A maker of fine spirits founded, run and owned by the Glenoak family. The family of Halflings found a crystal clear spring between the hills and thought it a perfect water source for their whiskey and other spirits. Because the distillery needed barley and grains to run a small farming village propped up in the area and was named after the spring. Decades later the Bockhop family arrived in the village and founded the Bockhop Brewery. As the two families both needed the barley and grains the local farmers cultivated a bidding war started. As the selling prices increased more and more farmers wanted in on the action. This amounted to a sharp growth for the village of Drendeven. Although supply and demand have stabilized for years now it still left its mark on the town. Every year during the harvest festival they would have the Barley Auction of Two. An auction where only the Bockhop and Glenoak patriarchs participate and bid on the farmers produce. Most of it done in jest and is seen more as a comedic display than an actual auction. During the growth of the village a clock tower was built to commemorate the transition of a small farming village to a proper town. The tower, dubbed Robin Tower for its bird inspired decorations, still to this day is the centerpiece of the market square and a tourist highlight.
