While Ogren houses a large multitude of larger and smaller libraries of varying splendour the Great Library is without doubt the largest and most beautiful of them all. It houses both the original of all the publicly available works and several copies available for public viewing.

== The Lesser Libraries ==
As the knowledge of Ogren is requested by many around the land not only the Great Library exists but also a large amount of smaller, or lesser libraries. They contain the most commonly requested tomes and are scattered around the border of Ogren for easy access by foreign travelers.

== The Closed Library ==
While the Great Library and Lesser Libraries are open to the public (for a fee) the existence of the Closed Library has not been confirmed (nor fully denied for that matter) by the Ogren leadership. Many rumours circulate about the library though only one thing is certain, the secrets contained in it's collection cannot be viewed for any price.

===== Adding to the Closed Library =====
Which papers, volumes and tomes are directed to the Closed Library are decided by the historians in the field. If they deem their writings, or writings they have found, to be too dangerous for public access the papers are sealed. The seal is not to be broken until after the historian has passed away or when a historian allows for it to be broken. The historian that breaks the seal is allowed to read the contents and following that determines whether the contents should be sealed again (thus restarting the process), or be allowed to be moved to the Great Library, normally to one of the restricted sections.
