	Some countries put up quite the defense and Kasar certainly took some losses but when the opposition was particularly tough, the Circle sent one or more of their own, all arch-mages and most certainly the most powerful spellcasters in the world at that time. If it had not been for logistics and the fact that an army moves on its stomach, the conquest would have been finished a lot sooner. 			The fact that they never renegotiated the levies can be seen as either a sign of weakness or intelligence; in any event, now that the levy has become quite small compared to any nation's income, no one has seen cause to go to war over it and test Kasar's current might. And Kasar still takes in a fortune every year when you look at all levies combined.
