If you do, then all the abilities below change their range from 5 feet to 30 feet but these abilities then only work to protect the imprinted creature (your Charge) and no one else. The shield reverts to its regular mode every long rest unless imprinted again. 

'''Bish''' Whenever an attacker makes a ranged attack against a target within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to become the target of the attack instead. Should you have the Protection fighting style, you can combine both using one reaction; make yourself the target and give the attacker disadvantage on their attack roll.

'''Bosh''' You can attack with the shield as an improvised weapon without the normal penalty, it does 1d6 damage.

'''Phylax''' The shield keeps its bearer on their toes, granting a +2 bonus to initiative if the bearer isn't incapacitated.

'''Helios''' While wielding the shield, you can use an action to cause it to glow yellow-orange or to quench the glow. This glow sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. This ability only works for an amount of time equal to how long the shield has been exposed to natural sunlight in the last 24 hours.

'''Fandango''' When you or a creature you can see within 5 feet of you takes Lightning or Thunder damage, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d4 (to a minimum of 0). When you attack with the shield you add this number to the damage dealt, it is of the same type as the type you reduced. At the end of your turn any residual energy dissipates harmlessly.
