They tend to their barley fields at the outskirts of the village. Her family is close-knit. They are not wealthy but get by just fine. <br /> <br /> A few years ago, monsters destroyed the harvest. Many families lost their income that year and the community did not have enough reserves to feed everyone. Liddy's family was thrown into poverty. It was a very difficult time that left a deep impression on Liddy. They were eventually saved from a worse fate thanks to the Companions of Elric, who showed up with food and supplies. Liddy swore that no one who was defenseless would suffer hunger and despair like her family had, if she could help it. <br /> <br /> The Companions of Elric stayed in Drendeven for many months. They taught a group of volunteers from the community how to fight and to defend their crops in case of any future attacks. These volunteers were praised and lauded for their bravery. Liddy was one of these volunteers. Her family was very proud. Liddy became especially close to one of the Companions, Eyla Thomold, a great fighter. Eyla travels the world with the Companions to aid those in need. Liddy idolizes Eyla and considers her a sort of mentor, as well as a friend. When he Companions eventually left Drendeven, Eyla gifted her hand crossbow to Liddy. <br /> <br /> Liddy aspires to help others like Eyla and the Companions have done for her and her community. She has recently decided that the time was right to venture out into the world to realise her goal. She doesn't really know where to start, except the Companions. She travelled to Korint to visit their offices. Her family does not have a lot of means, so she had to finance her own way, which is how she ended up at The Dig.</div>
